Wishing everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving!!
We had a great weekend here. The weather was beautiful. We worked outside and got some spring bulbs planted and cleaned the garages. We even started hanging Christmas lights. Sunday we did some shopping in town. After church we went to Bob Evans for brunch. The kids were wonderful and we got compliments because of their behavior. We then went to Kohl's and finished shopping for the wedding, the kids should now have everything they need. While there a lady gave us Kohl's cash for $30 off our purchase. We then went to Sam's and picked up a few items before heading home.
Tomorrow we're heading to Indiana for Thanksgiving, Mark and the kids have the day off. The kids are excited to see Rick, Cindy, the cousins, and great grandma. We are also hoping to visit a high school classmate of mine and meet their new baby.
Funny Kyleigh story. Why is it one of the first words a child learns is "uh-oh"? The other night while sitting in her high chair after struggling for a couple of minutes to push her sippy cup under the high chair table and over her legs when it finally falls to the floor she says "uh-oh" like it was an accident that she dropped her cup. And when I say "Kyleigh", she looks at me and smiles like "that was a fun game and I know you love me mom". Kyleigh got moved to Mason's room this weekend. She has been doing great in her new room. It's a little bittersweet having her out of our room because it means she's growing up. Mason is loving having a roommate even if it's only for a couple of years.
Take care.

Relaxing week
We've had a nice relaxing week. Monday night the Rudolph's stopped by for a visit on their way to live in Hawaii. We had a great visit with them. Wednesday I got some Christmas shopping done and I worked everyday this week but I think I've been home more this week then I have in a long time. In fact Kyra and Kyleigh have had a couple of pajama days. Kids have done great with the sitter after school and thankfully the sitter is flexible because on Monday and Thursday she ended up with a neighbor kid for about 10 minutes.
Kyra and Kyleigh have really started playing together this week. It is so neat watching them play together. Kyra gets Kyleigh laughing and pretty soon they are both laughing hard. Last night they were running through the house holding hands and Kyra misjudged how far Kyleigh stuck out to her side and Kyleigh hit the wall full force. She has a big black and blue goose egg on her forehead. Kyra just looked at her like "Didn't you see the wall?". After Kyleigh stopped crying the two of them started up again. Yesterday they played around the futon all day, Kyleigh can climb up and down the futon on her own which she thinks is great. Kyleigh also cut her lip and the inside of her mouth yesterday, that's what you get when you play rough with your older sister. Update: Today as we were leaving for the neighbors Kyleigh tripped when trying to walk into the garage and hit her head on the floor. This is what it looks like 1 1/2 hours later, it was much worse.
We are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. We're going to a friends for supper tonight and then should be home the rest of the weekend. We hope to finally make it to the Catholic church this weekend, we haven't been there since the middle on September, unless you count the Saturday night mass that Mark's coworker saw us at(we're don't know who the coworker saw but it wasn't us). Have a great weekend!

Knock on wood
Everyone is healthy!!! I'm still dealing with a cough that caused me to pull a rib muscle so it hurts to breathe and stretch but I'll take that over someone with a fever.
We had a great weekend. Friday night was a girls night out party. Saturday we were able to get together with our friends from Bloomington. We had a great visit, it had been way too long since we had seen them. Sunday we went to church, picked up a pizza on the way home, and watch the Vikings win. Today I'm getting ready for the Rudolph's to arrive. They are spending the night on their way to live in Hawaii. I'm hoping to visit them sometime in the next three years.
I'm back to work this week, this afternoon I'm also watching the neighbor boy. Have a good week!

This is getting old
I don't have much to post except we're still dealing with someone being sick in the household. Mason was sick all weekend, sent him to school on Monday and he was home Tuesday and Wednesday. Valynn is home sick today with something completely different than what Mason had.
It's been a busy week of not doing much, I haven't worked all week because the girl I tutor is sick. Hopefully next week we'll get started back up. Today I'm babysitting the three neighbor boys. Tomorrow we're hoping to get together with some friends we haven't seen for a few months. We had to cancel last week so depending on how Valynn feels tomorrow we hope to have them over.
I'm off to consider if isolating the family from the outside world for the winter is a feasible option. 7 weeks of someone being sick is too many. We also found out that Mark might not be going back to school in January, there was some kind of mixed communication between corporate headquarters and each business unit, he'll find out in a few weeks.

Happy November
Here's a picture of our Jack-o-lanterns. Valynn carved hers herself this year. Mason had a challenging face that Mark wasn't about to pass up the challenge, triangle in square eyes. Kyra knocked her pumpkin off the island after we carved it which explains the fissure.
Kyleigh has a new word Uh Oh. She also has two new teeth for a total of 8. As you can see she is my little helper. Who knew it took two girls to stir lettuce?
The kids had fun at the birthday party and hit the jack pot with trick or treating. We finally made it to church on Sunday. We have been missed. I also have another job to add to my resume, Sunday School Superintendent.
Otherwise nothing much going on. I'm still not back to 100%, Mark stayed home most of the day Monday so I could sleep. I'm on day 6 of a headache. At least the kids are feeling good. Have a good week.
