So mom has yet to cook this weekend.....

and supper has been in the fridge since Friday. I pulled out a frozen meal to have on Friday since I was going to be gone all day. Well Friday night we were invited at the last minute to a birthday party for a girl in Valynn's class. She's also the granddaughter of the people we bought our house from. They ordered too much KFC and invited us over to supper. On Saturday we had a housewarming party for the couple across the street and a Alex's birthday, so we got meals at both parties. Tonight we're going over to Brad and Chantel's for supper, hopefully fish that the men are out catching as I'm typing this.
Here is the link to some pictures from last nights birthday party.
I took a picture of Kyra this morning wearing a dress that was one of my favorites on Valynn. I thought it would be fun to compare them. Valynn is the top two and Kyra the bottom two.

Field Trip

Valynn had her field trip to the Children's Museum yesterday. She had a great time. I was in charge of Valynn and another kid from her class. The boy was an identical twin, talk about confusing when trying to keep track of him. Valynn's favorite part was the cow milking parlor. She was telling all the kids how it was done. Mason and Kyra had a great time with the sitter, they played games and went outside.

Didn't get mother of the day yesterday.

Since this story is making it around the neighborhood I thought I would post it for all to get a laugh at. Yesterday afternoon in the midst of a melt down by my older two, I locked my youngest in a dark closet by herself. I went to my closet to get something, turned around, shut the light off, and closed the door. A few seconds later I heard Kyra crying so I started opening up doors looking for her (she likes to close doors), after opening Valynn's door, Mason's door, and the bathroom door I was at a loss of where she could be. I finally found her in my closet, she must have followed me in there and I didn't see her. I am now told she need counseling. I guess I'll just send her with Valynn, who I forgot to get at the bus stop a couple of weeks ago.

Autumn Adventure

We attended CAT's Autumn Adventure yesterday. The kids had a great time. We would have liked to have stayed longer to go on the hayride and check out some of the pioneer exhibits but we needed to get home. Today we watched Alex for a few hours. The kids found some leaves and raked them up to play in.

It suddenly got very quiet, where's Kyra?

Kyra is 13 months today. This morning she disappeared on me and it got very quiet, when I went to look for her, she was asleep on Mason's bed. I also have pictures of her pushing Valynn and Mason down the hill. They all thought it was great fun. We're busy staining the house (OK, Mark is busy doing that). We had company last night for supper, Chantel and the kids came over after they got home from Tanners, they took Mason with them. We have a busy weekend, tonight is the homecoming football game so we're going to the parade and then to some friends for supper.

Playing in the rain and the gym, and the studio

The kids had fun playing in the rain the other evening. Here are some pictures of Mason at gymnastics (he's walking backwards on the balance beam) and Valynn at dance (tap and ballet).

Busy weekend!!

Mason's birthday party was on Friday night. We had 13 kids and 10 adults here to help him celebrate. The kids had a great time and Mason enjoyed his party.

I headed to South Dakota Saturday morning with a friend for Ty's baptism. Mark and the kids stayed home. The kids had a great time with dad, they played with Mason's new toys, rode the bike into town for ice cream. They watched movies and Mark took all three kids to church by himself. Valynn started CCD this weekend, she had fun and a friend of hers from school was in class with her. We are now back to reality and our to do lists. I am also hoping to spend a weekend at home with no driving.

Mason's First Day of School

Mason had a great first day of school. He walked right in, got his nametag, and started playing. Ms. Angie said he talked up a storm and stood on the birthday chair while they sang Happy Birthday to him. Mason had gymnastics last night and he did great, the instructor was impressed with his arm strength. There are only two in his class so he gets a lot of attention. Mason's stats from yesterday are 38 1/2 inches tall and 33 1/2 pounds.

Valynn had dance last night, she is the only one in the class which she thinks is great because she gets all of the attention. She enjoyed the dance class. Kindergarten is still going great.

Kyra is growing like a weed. Her stats are 19 lbs 4 oz. (21%) and 29 1/2 inches tall (81%). She is still learning new words and things faster than I can keep track. The doctor asked how her talking was going and asked how many words she knew, I said 10 words and I know I forgot some. She also learned how to blow kisses and wave bye bye yesterday and today said bye bye (those two things had eluded her until now).

Happy Birthday Mason

Mason turned 4 yesterday, unfortunately the day was spent traveling, his party is on Friday. We had a great weekend but we spent too many hours on the road (15 ours one way). We had a great time at Christy and Jake's wedding (Christy was my college roommate), we got to visit with friends from college that we haven't seen or talked to in years. The kids had a great time on the farm and were good for Aunt Gwen and mom and dad enjoyed a kid free night. We took the kids over to the mud fest and they were able to see the all of the trucks and 4 wheelers playing in the mud. We have a busy week this week. Mason starts school tomorrow and Kyra and I start MOPS (it's a mom's group). Mason and Kyra have doctors appointments today so I will post their stats later, Mason also starts gymnastics and Valynn starts dance. I have my first PTA meeting tonight (I can't believe I'm that old). Have a great week.
