What a beautiful day for a picnic

We took advantage of the break in the weather to have a picnic lunch outside (it's supposed to rain everyday this week). Mason got his staple removed yesterday, he was very brave. We went out for supper and then walked around the lake when we got home.

Swinging along

Mark got the playset put together last night. The kids had a great time playing on it and now we don't have to go to the neighbors to play. Kyra loved swinging outside and Valynn and Mason took turns pushing her.

Sling off....Sling on......

We went to the doctors yesterday, Mason was able to take his sling off and resume activities unless they hurt his shoulder. Well, he went outside yesterday, tripped going down the hill and reinjured his shoulder, so he's back in the sling for about a week. We are finally getting the truth about what happened. The were playing in the bed of the pick up when he fell. Valynn was trying to help him up when he slipped and fell.

In other news Kyra is 7 months today. I'll post pictures soon. She moving more everyday. No interest in crawling, scooting works just fine, although we prefer to stand. She's starting to take a few steps when standing. Her favorite word is dada. She's already mastered mama.

Mason's Injury

Our first ER trip in 5 1/2 years. Mason has a broken clavicle (collar bone). Valynn and Mason were playing on the hood of the pick up yesterday (Even though they know they aren't supposed to be up there) and Mason fell off. He also needed a staple in his head. He'll be in a sling for about 4 weeks. We'll know more tomorrow after we see the doctor.

Weekend Project

I installed a suspended ceiling in my basement bedroom this weekend. The bedroom just needs doors, trim, and carpet now. The bathroom is roughed in and I plan to sheetrock it this week.

Up Up and Away

We took advantage of the nice weather and flew kites this past weekend. The kids have also been enjoying riding their bikes up and down the street. The kids have also gotten to play with the neighbor kids the last couple of days as well. We even washed the suburban yesterday and Kyra thinks ridingin the s troller is fun. Too bad this weather is coming to an end this afternoon. I also had to include a picture of Mason and Kyra in the bath together.

Childrens Museum of Evansville

Finally some pictures from our trip to Indiana. We went to the Children's museum. Sometimes it hard to tell who has more fun, the kids or the adults. There was a climbing structure with a button inside with a sign that said do not push. Valynn could read that she wasn't supposed to push the button so even with dad, her uncle, and her cousin trying to get her to push the button, she wouldn't. She finally pushed the button when mom said it was OK and a bunch of plastic balls fell on her. We launched balls using cannons and played in the water. We had a great visit as always.
