And we're off.....

We spent the weekend on the go. Saturday we cleaned the Lutheran church, bought flowers, visited friends, transplanted strawberries and raspberries, and started mowing the lawn. Sunday we went to Sunday school, church, and the the Quad Cities for the Norwegian festival. We had a great time at the festival, the kids got to pet the Fjord horses (my camera batteries were dead so no pictures), and we saw the Stoughton Norwegian Dancers, they were great. Kyra has decided to start moving everywhere this past week. We can't keep her out of trouble no matter how hard we try, she's always into something. Tomorrow we're headed to Springfield to visit some relatives. Next week is Valynn's last week of school.

Go Vikings!!!!

We traveled to Iowa this weekend to visited Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Jerald. We had a great time, played games, went to the park, and ate very well. Kyra turned 8 months on Saturday. She will now really crawl over short distances and pulls herself to standing all the time. Mason had his preschool screening last week, he did great. Valynn his her kindergarten registration this week. Valynn's boyfriend is also coming to play this week. Mark is busy helping fix the overflow on the damn. I guess that's what you get when you voluneer to help.

A Week of Amazement

Our kids are constantly amazing us with what they know, ask, and can do. Here is Kyra's newest trick. She will even push herself to standing for a few seconds before falling. She will also crawl a couple of steps before she drops back onto the floors and scoots. Mason has had some astounding insights this week where he will ponder something and then come to the correct conclusion with out any help. One example is he had the choice of sitting in the second or third seat of the suburban. As we grew impatient waiting for him to come to a decision he finally said, the second seat, that way Valynn and I can share our drink. Valynn has been with the questions, the best one this week, "Why is it pants for one and pants for two? Referring to the plural. What will they do next?
