Take me out to the ballgame!

We attended a Peoria Chiefs baseball game last night with St. Timothy Lutheran church. Ryne Sandberg is the manager. The kids had a great time, of course their favorite part was the food. Unfortunately the Chiefs lost pretty bad, 15-3. Mason got a squishy baseball that was thrown during the game, the Pastor's wife caught it and gave it to him. Valynn learned some of the rules of the game while Mason just watched the action. Kyra played with anyone who would give her attention, which there were plenty of people around to do that.

We had a great time with our friends this weekend. Seven kids makes a house full. We stayed up late visiting and were up early. We haven't seen the Rudolph's for over a year so it was great catching up with them. Hopefully it's not as long between visits the next time.

Cousin Ty is 1 month old!

Ty is over 1 month old already! Here are his pictures:

Mark this link as a favorite and check back often as this is where I post his pictures. We are going to Crookston this weekend for Grandma Joyce's 80th birthday and then to Fargo on Sunday for cousin Logan's 2nd birthday. We are also excited to go to Lignite to meet cousin's Valynn, Mason, and Kyra after the 4th of July!

10 Months

Kyra is 10 months today. This week she has really learned new things. She wakes up in the morning talking and doesn't stop unless she's sleeping. She can now push herself to standing and will stand unassisted for about a minute. She's not interested in taking any steps yet, but that will come. What was supposed to be a quiet week at home has turned into one where today is the only day we're not going somewhere. Valynn was able to play with her boyfriend Jacob this week. The kids had a great time as usual and they didn't want to leave. The kids are excited, we're going to have company this weekend. Our friends from Ohio are coming to visit. We can't wait to see them, it's been a year since we've gotten together.

Wild Ride

We went to Wildlife Prairie State Park again yesterday and did some of the other activities they have to offer. We checked out the snakes and reptiles and went sliding on the 50' slide. We also rode the train. They kids had a great time but we headed home early because of the heat. Could someone send some rain our way? On Tuesday, Valynn, Kyra, and I went to the Mother Daughter Banquet. We had a great night with just the girls. Mason and Mark went out the eat and then went fishing. Mason caught a bass as long as his arm, they caught about 9 in all. To all of the dad's out there, have a great Father's Day.

What a great weekend

We had a nice relaxing weekend. For once there was nothing that needed to be done. Friday night we had friends over for supper, after supper we all went fishing. Everyone was catching fish. Valynn laid her pole down and as she walked away a fish pulled her pole into the lake. The bobber came up so we borrowed a boat from the neighbor and Mark rowed out to the bobber and pulled in her rod. We all were laughing except for Valynn. On Saturday we went to town to get water and watered the garden. We then went to Jubilee State Park and hiked for about 3 hours and had a picnic lunch. We came home and the kids went swimming at the neighbors and then we went to town for supper and grocery shopping. On Sunday we went to church, got some donuts on the way home and ate them. In the afternoon we helped set up for the block party and then relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. We met some more neighbors, and visited until the evening. The kids played well together and had a blast.

Can I have some?

Mason was sharing his ice cream with Kyra when I took these picture. I also could't resist taking one of Kyra with the Snaps. Snaps is very protective of Mason and Kyra. Buttons protects Valynn. Saturday we went to the CAT fishing derby. Valynn caught a fish and Mason and Mark each won a door prize. On Sunday Mark and the kids built a plane out of tinker toys. Monday we went to a strawberry patch to pick strawberries with a neighbor and her three kids. The kids had fun helping pick and it made us realize how much we miss our patch from our old house.
